Washington D.C. - Transportation

My keyword of Transportation covers any item a person might use to "get around". It ranges from wheelchairs, skateboards, paddle boards and bicycles to the obvious planes, trains and automobiles. This is clearly not an exhaustive list but, you get the picture. Probably my current favorite form of transportation is the bicycle. I'm always so impressed with people's ingenuity to such a simple machine. So we'll begin there...

This guy was just cruising on the National Mall with his custom lowrider bicycle.

While waiting for Marine One (the president's helicopter) to land and the White House I spyed this mom? riding her little one down the street on their way to somewhere.

Sadly these are becoming common place in communities where cycling is a typical way to get around.

In D.C. there is a place on the internet where one can locate the president’s schedule for the day. While out seeing the museums one day our friend detoured us to the White House to watch Marine One land out front and see President Biden get out and go to work.

Well before the President's helicopter arrived we witnessed many helicopters flying around. Surveying for safety?

This was just a cool shot of a plane flying between two of the flags of the Washington Monument.

The SUBWAY! It is fantastic in D.C. and we used it a LOT.
